What to do in the Chartrons district?

The Chartrons district functions like a small village in the heart of the city. Your visit to our guest house will be an opportunity to discover the charming and trendy Chartrons district with Notre-Dame Street where you will find bars, restaurants and various shops. Take the opportunity to visit the CAPC, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bordeaux. For a peaceful afternoon, discover the Public Garden, located less than 200 m from our establishment, with its arboretum, library and Natural History Museum. While strolling the alleys of the neighborhood, you may come across the Temple of Chartrons, Saint-Louis church, rue des Antiquaires and the Halle des Chartrons.

What to do in the Saint Pierre district ?

Within a few minutes' walk, you will be in the heart of the historic centre of the city, in the Saint-Pierre district. Start your visit with the Grand-Théâtre, inaugurated in 1780 (it can be visited outside the summer period), continue with the visit of the Place de la Bourse and the miroir d'eau, listed as a contemporary World Heritage site, continue your visit of the district with the Porte Cailhau, Built in 1494, at the top of this medieval defensive gate you will have an exceptional panorama of the city, then discover the Grosse Cloche, vestige of the old city walls and finally cross the Pont de Pierre, the first bridge of Bordeaux.

3 km away is the Capuchin market, open Tuesday to Sunday with more than 60 merchants, in the Saint-Michel district. Along the quays, every Sunday morning the Chartrons market is held, 10 minutes walk away. For a moment of relaxation, go to the Place du Marché with its many restaurants and bars.

 Walk along the quays of the Garonne, by bike, on foot, rollerblades or scooter. Restaurants, bars, children's parks and all kinds of activities are available. You can stroll in the sun, go jogging or do your shopping, so that you can spend a pleasant moment with your family, friends, two people or alone.
